Programs Offered
Facility Visit
For those who are no longer able to have a personal companion animal, and for those who can’t be with their companion animal for an extended period of time a visit from one of our therapy teams; a volunteer and his/her pet; can decrease anxiety and loneliness, enhance self esteem, lower blood pressure, and add spontaneous joy to an otherwise challenging or tedious day.
Story Tails
The StoryTails Literacy Program and The Pet Partner Read with Me™ Program pair a registered therapy team with a child weekly throughout the school year to provide one to one reading practice in a safe nurturing environment during their school day.
CARE Progam
When communities experience untoward natural or man-made events that cause disruption and pain the presence of therapy animal teams can provide comfort, strengthen a sense of community, enhance coping, and facilitate responder interventions.
Fiesta® Pooch Parade
Our primary fundraiser each year is the Fiesta® Pooch Parade, an official Fiesta® San Antonio event. All proceeds from the parade support our local programs. We invite you to join our organization (with or without an animal), become a therapy team, and/or support us with a donation under DONATE or as a sponsor of the Fiesta® Pooch Parade.
