Who We Are
About TASA
Therapy Animals of San Antonio is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and an affiliate member of the International Association of Human-Animal Interactions Organizations (IAHAIO), and a GuideStar Exchange Platinum Participant.
We are led by a Board of Directors and publish an Annual Report. Our mission since 1989 has been bringing people and animals together for healing. We do this with our therapy teams’ visits to facilities, educational presentations, and StoryTails literacy program in the greater San Antonio area.
We provide training and support for therapy teams, who may choose to become registered with Therapy Animals of San Antonio or Pet Partners, Inc. (formerly Delta Society).
Our primary fundraiser for the year is the Fiesta® Pooch Parade,an official Fiesta® San Antonio event. All proceeds from the parade support our local programs.
Members also enjoy getting together at special events throughout the year. We invite you to join our organization (with or without an animal), become a therapy team, and/or support us with a donation or as a sponsor of the Fiesta® Pooch Parade.
