(2019) All the contributions Liz has made over the years to TASA and to the community we serve are truly difficult to summarize. While not a founding member of our organization, she joined very shortly thereafter; and; in her quiet, thoughtful, “let’s get it done” way, she was a constant source of stability and motivation as TASA grew and evolved. As a Physical Therapist, Liz helped develop the first animal therapy supported rehab program in San Antonio and helped educate others about the many ways animals could enhance healing. Over the years, Liz partnered with her two beloved Golden Retrievers, Morgan and Faith, to visit persons across San Antonio in various environments. Liz was also was a committed and dependable volunteer for our annual Pooch Parade; while also providing behind the scenes support of her partner, who chaired the event for several years. As her disease progressed she was still involved and often volunteered for our Saturday team evaluations. Liz was an engaged and respected member of other area animal organizations as well, and as such, she provided increased visibility and credibility for TASA and supported the recruitment of many new teams. We have been fortunate as an organization to have shared our journey with Liz.
