What time does the parade start?
The 2024 Fiesta® Pooch Parade will start at approximately 9:30 am.
Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely, this is a Pooch Parade. There are no restrictions on the number of friendly dogs a person or family can bring; however, all dogs must be on leashes and under control for everyone’s enjoyment and safety.
How many dogs will be there?
The Pooch Parade attracts over 1,000 participants each year, many of whom will bring their dog or dogs.
What time is the costume contest?
The Costume Contest begins at 8:00 am and ends by 9:00 am. The costume contest is very popular, so we suggest you come early to ensure you are able to participate.
What are the categories for the costume contest?
With the exception of “Best in Show”, all categories will have a Winner AND a Runner Up!

- Best contestant that stands above ALL contestants and categories. This contestant or team fully exemplifies the spirit of the day!

- Best dog that stands out on its own. No restrictions on theme!

- Best demonstration and execution of their imagination!

- Best display of USA Pride; primarily red, white and blue color scheme!

Are there prizes for the costume contest?
Winners in each category receive a trophy! Runners-Up receive a framed certificate. Winners are announced and prizes are distributed at the end of the contest (9:00 am) in the area where the contest is held.
Will There be food and drink available for purchase?
Yes. Food trucks will be onsite offering food and drinks for sale from 8 am to 12 pm. This is a new feature for 2024!
If the gates open at 7:30am and the parade starts at 9:30, what happens during that window?
We have many booths for you to browse that provide free information and products as well as animal related items for purchases. There will be demonstrations of various animal-related activities and training techniques. Our Costume Contest runs from 8:00 to 9 am and is great fun to watch!
How long is the parade?
The parade is 2.4 miles, however, there is a shortcut available for any participants that wish to take it.
