July 2016 – Meet the Team

When did you and Bellin become a team? – In February 2013.

What other partners have you had? – He has been my only partner.

In what type of facility are you visiting? – We visit the Children’s Shelter, Methodist Hospital, and the South Texas Children’s Bereavement Center.

In what other Therapy Animals activities do you and your partner participate? – Bellin and I have also teamed up for Red Cross events, college de-stressors at Trinity and Northeast Lakeview, and we recently did a StoryTails visit at the La Vernia Library.

Tell us something about your partner that we may not know. – Bellin was seized by the city of San Antonio in May 2011 from his previous owner due to severe abuse and neglect. He was emaciated and had been repeatedly beaten. He was fostered and adopted by us in January 2012.

What Therapy Animals leadership position(s) do you currently have? – None.

What other leadership positions have you had? – None.

Tell us something about yourself that we may not know. – I grew up with horses and participated in rodeos for 8 years.
