March 2016 – Meet the Team
When did you and Prince become a team? – Prince and I became a team in February 2013.
What other partners have you had? – Dr. Miller and I first registered as a team in July 1994, and he visited up to a week before he died in May 2005. I rescued Casey, and he and I registered as a team in September 2001. We visited until fall 2011 and he died in May 2012.
In what type of facility are you visiting? – We regularly visit at Tuscany Heights Elementary, and visit at nursing homes and extra places when possible (when on breaks from school).
In what other Therapy Animals activities do you and your partner participate? – Right now I help with screenings and Pooch Parade activities.
Tell us something about your partner that we may not know. – I rescued him from Golden Beginnings in Houston. He was found on the streets in Houston.
What Therapy Animals leadership position(s) do you currently have? – Leading our team screenings.
What other leadership positions have you had? – In the past I have helped with our grief hotline, team evaluations, phone line, and site visits.
Tell us something about yourself that we may not know. – An internship in music therapy brought me to San Antonio. I grew up and went to college in Cleveland, Ohio.
