When did you and Jack become a team? - In 2007.

What other partners have you had? - None.

In what type of facility are you visiting? - Grace Place (adult day care Alzheimer's), Horizon Bay (assisted living), and Holmes H.S. ALE Classes (3 of them).

In what other Therapy Animals activities do you and your partner participate? - We've done a few presentations.

Tell us something about your partner that we may not know. - Jack was asked to be King Anbarkio but I declined. He’s a very sweet slug of a Golden who does NOT need the limelight.

What Therapy Animals leadership position(s) do you currently have? - None.

What other leadership positions have you had? - None.

Tell us something about yourself that we may not know. - I’ve been blessed to be doing this for almost 10 years now. Pretty sure we’ll retire after this next year. I’m 70, and Jack will be pushing 13 when our next test will come up. Like Timmy Duncan…….we’ll go out very quietly.

October 1, 2015 - Therapy Team of the Third Quarter - We would like to announce and congratulate Bonnie Mayers and Jack who have been selected as our therapy team of the third quarter for 2015! They have been visiting since 2007. Thank you for your consistency and contributions to the TASA mission of bringing people and animals together for healing.

Bonnie commented that "We visit Grace Place every Tuesday and alternate between Horizon Bay and Holmes High School ALE classes after Grace Place. One of my favorite memories is that of a Downs Syndrome girl at Holmes who, as we began our visits, would not let Jack near her. She graduated this year, but for the last couple of years, she wanted to pet Jack, watch his few tricks, and give him a treat. We’ve met some lovely people at all 3 places we visit. Another memory I have is of an elderly lady at Horizon Bay (in the Alzheimer's unit.) The nurses told me she hadn’t spoken at ALL for several months. Jack and I approached her one day. She had been napping, but when I told her my dog Jack was here to visit her, her eyes opened and she said……”HI JACK!” That was a very special moment. Lots of smiles, compliments, and love are what we experience every single Tuesday."
