July 2016 - Meet the Team as told by Evan's mother, Jeanne, who supervises his visits.

When did you and Brandy become a team? - Evan became interested in pet therapy when he was 10 years old. He and Brandy became a registered team shortly after Evan's 11th birthday. Evan and Brandy have been a team for two and a half years.

What other partners have you had? - Brandy is Evan's first partner.

In what type of facility are you visiting? - We visit a nursing and rehab facility.

In what other Therapy Animals activities do you and your partner participate? - Evan has taken Brandy for a couple of presentations at schools. Most recently, we spoke about pet therapy to a group of high school students attending Public Health Camp at the University of Texas School of Public Health.

Tell us something about your partner that we may not know. - Brandy knows it's her job to be petted. When we get busy visiting with a person and the petting stops, Brandy gently nudges their elbow to remind them to keep petting!

What Therapy Animals leadership position(s) do you currently have? - None.

What other leadership positions have you had? - None.

Tell us something about yourself that we may not know. - Evan is on a robotics team and plays trumpet in the band at Hector Garcia Middle School. Evan has been part of a summer swim team for 5 years. His team has won the league championship 4 of the 5 years. Evan comes from a long line of Texas Aggies and plans to study engineering when he goes to college.
