Viking and TammyTherapy Animals of San Antonio brings people together who share a common interest in offering high quality animal assisted services to our community. We are an inclusive organization that recognizes there is strength in diversity and honors the gifts each Volunteer brings to the collective whole. We welcome you to consider becoming a Volunteer with us. Anyone interested in supporting Therapy Animals of San Antonio is welcome to join our group. You do not have to have an animal to join. There are many ways that you can participate and be an active member supporting the mission of bringing people and animals together for healing. Therapy Animals of San Antonio is an all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Your membership dues and donations are fully tax-deductible.

Therapy animals, usually dogs and cats, and their owners help people in all kinds of settings - hospitals, residential facilities, schools, libraries, rehab facilities, and detention and other types of community facilities. Are you interested in volunteering as a therapy team? Is your animal a “people person"? Does your best friend greet you and others with a happy wag of the tail? Are you and your well-behaved pet willing to make a regular commitment, at least once a month, to visit a facility that fits you in terms of your schedule, location, and type of setting. Then, you’re much more than just a “mom” or a “dad” to a companion animal. You’re just the type of person we’re looking for. New Therapy Team Membership cost is $60.00.
Includes one year annual membership, team training class for the individual, and a therapy team evaluation. Annual membership fee is due every year and an evaluation fee is due every other year.

Clicking on the "Join - Therapy Team" link below will take you to a page where you create a username and password, fill in an online application, and pay your fee. Here are instructions for creating your account and instructions to help you set up and navigate your personal profile. If you have any questions while setting up your profile/volunteer page, you can select the CONTACT tab and send an email to any of the people listed there. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

After we receive your completed profile information, we will send you an e-mail letter. If you haven't paid your fee, there will be a link to pay for it by PayPal (credit card, bank draft). Be sure to check your junk or spam folder and then put us in your safe senders list. We will also give you our mailing address, should you prefer to mail a check to us. You will not officially become a member or be able to schedule the required class and evaluation until we receive your payment.

If you would like to support our mission without being a therapy team, we have several categories of supporting memberships.

Supporting Membership annual dues are:
Individual (10 years of age and older) - $30.00
Family - $35.00
Student (enrolled full time in a school, college, or university) - $25.00
Senior (55 years of age and older) - $25.00
Business, School, or Health Facility - $35.00

If you are a Business or Facility, please enter * (asterisk) in the First Name field and your full business name in the Last Name field. Please put the name of a contact person on the second Address line, e.g., ATTN: Jane Smith.
