Do you have a soft spot for a furry friend? Is the window glass on the inside of your vehicle covered with nose writing? Does your best friend jump up and down when they see you (even if you've only been gone for ten minutes) and greet everyone else they meet with a happy wag of the tail? Then you're much more than just a "mom" or a "dad" to a companion animal. You're the type of person we're looking for. In fact, you may be looking for us, too.
Anyone interested in supporting Therapy Animals of San Antonio is more than welcome to join our group. You do not have to have an animal to join. There are many ways that you can participate and be an active member. Therapy Animals of San Antonio is an all volunteer, non-profit 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization. Your membership dues and donations are fully tax-deductible. Your participation in our programs and the Fiesta® Pooch Parade will add dimension to our membership.
Annual Membership dues are:
Individual (10 years of age and older) - $30.00
Family - $35.00
Student (enrolled full time in a school, college, or university) - $25.00
Senior (55 years of age and older) - $25.00
Business, School, or Health Facility - $35.00
As a member, you are considered a "volunteer" in our system whether you want to support us only with your dues or can give time helping us perform our mission.
Clicking on the "Join Now" link below will take you to a page where you fill in an online application and create a username and password. Here are instructions for creating your account and instructions to help you set up and navigate your personal profile. If you are interested in becoming a therapy team, you will be able to select that option under GENERAL INTERESTS and someone will follow up with you on what is involved to accomplish that. We are always looking for new teams to fill the health care facilities on our waiting list.
If you are a Business or Facility, please enter * (asterisk) in the First Name field and your full business name in the Last Name field. Please put the name of a contact person on the second Address line, e.g., ATTN: Jane Smith.
After we receive your completed profile information, we will send you an e-mail letter with a link to pay for your membership by PayPal (credit card, bank draft). Be sure to check your junk or spam folder and then put us in your safe senders list. We will also give you our mailing address, should you prefer to mail a check to us. You will not officially become a member until we receive your payment.
